U.S. Senator Rob Portman concluded his five-day Job Tour with a stop in Cincinnati where he hosted a Hispanic Business Roundtable with the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) on August 14. Nearly 70 local businesses were in attendance for the discussion on topics related to the current jobs market: worker development, recruiting best practices and the skills gap in the workforce, among other issues.
Panelists included Best Upon Request President/CEO Tillie Hidalgo Lima, Carlos Amesquita, chief information officer for Hershey, Ernest E. Cordova, chief security officer for Accenture Federal Services, Pam Ricones, chief inclusion and diversity officer for Fifth Third Bank, and Senator Portman.
The roundtable was co-sponsored by Accenture and American Modern Insurance Group.
