Best Upon Request Earns Corporate Plus® Designation from the National Minority Supplier Development Council

CINCINNATI – (BUSINESS WIRE) – April 9, 2015

Best Upon Request Corporate, Inc. (BEST), a provider of on-site concierge services to organizations nationwide, is now a Corporate Plus® Member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Out of 12,000 NMSDC-certified minority business enterprises, only 89 have earned the Corporate Plus® designation.

Corporate Plus® is awarded to the highest caliber NMSDC-certified minority businesses. Corporate Plus® members have the ability to serve major corporations on a national level, have a proven track record of top quality products and services, and must come recommended by a national corporate member of NMSDC.

BEST was nominated for Corporate Plus® by Fifth Third Bank. In 2012, BEST began providing concierge services as an employee benefit at Fifth Third Bank, and recently expanded their program.

“With Fifth Third Bank being a corporation with $139 billion in assets, serving 12 states, Best Upon Request has demonstrated their capacity to execute on a key initiative for our company,” said Teresa J. Tanner, Fifth Third Bank’s executive vice president, chief human resources officer. “I feel proud to recommend them so they may serve other companies in the same manner.”

Tillie Hidalgo Lima, president/CEO of BEST, said, “We are deeply honored to receive Corporate Plus® status; I’m excited and proud of our team. The future is bright and this makes it even brighter. The access and exposure Corporate Plus® gives us takes Best Upon Request to a whole new level. I am very grateful to our corporate sponsor, Teresa Tanner, for believing in me and my company.”

BEST became a certified Minority Business Enterprise through NMSDC in 2003 and a Women’s Business Enterprise through WBENC in 2006. In 2014, BEST celebrated its 25th anniversary in business, and becoming a Corporate Plus® member is another important milestone.

“We are delighted that Best Upon Request has become a National Corporate Plus® Member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council through the recommended action of Fifth Third Bank,” said Joset Wright-Lacy, president of NMSDC. “The increased participation of Best Upon Request and other outstanding national minority businesses in the NMSDC Network is a source of great pride and encouragement for all of us.”
