About Us: History

Best Upon Request Corporate, Inc. (formerly known as BurCorp) is a privately held minority-owned and woman-owned national Quality of Life firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was the first company selected to develop, test, and in 1993, rollout a multi-city on-site concierge services program for a corporate client.

In 1995, Best Upon Request became the first concierge company to work directly with the work/life industry to integrate traditional work/life benefits and concierge services.  The Concierge Service Center was established in 1996 to serve customers throughout the U.S. and internationally by toll free phone, email, and/or fax.

Best Upon Request was selected in 1998 by the nation's leading work/life company to be their preferred provider of concierge services. Since 1999, substantial investments have been made in technology to support service delivery.

In 2000, under the leadership of Best Upon Request's President (a former pharmacist) the company began to shift it's strategic focus to the healthcare industry and, in 2003, Best Upon Request became the exclusive preferred provider to the Greater Cincinnati Health Council, offering concierge services to its membership.

In 2003, Best Upon Request received Minority Business Enterprise Certification from the South Central Ohio Minority Business Council an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

In July, 2005, Best Upon Request was listed in the Business Courier's Greater Cincinnati's Largest 250 Companies, ranking in the top 25 Largest Tri-State Women-Owned Businesses.

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber awarded Best Upon Request on September 22, 2005 with the 2005 Small Business Excellence Award Minority Business of the Year.

On October 26, 2005 Best Upon Request was named by the Cincinnati Business Courier to Fast 55, Greater Cincinnati's premier program recognizing the 15-county region's fastest-growing private companies.

In 2006, Best Upon Request was recognized as a Torch Award Finalist by Cincinnati's Better Business Bureau for showing their commitment to exemplify ethics and integrity in the marketplace. Best Upon Request was also named to the Fast 55, the top 55 fastest growing businesses in the Greater Cincinnati region, by the Cincinnati Business Courier
